Allergic Skin Diseases

Allergy is a hypersensitivity showed by the body against the substances that do not harm other people under similar circumstances. One of four people witnesses allergic diseases in one of the periods of their lives. Allergy development risk of any person having allergy in his/her mother or father is 30 % and this rates rises to 50-60% in any person having allergy both in his/her mother and father. Besides genetics, the factors such as air pollution, industrial chemicals, cigarette smoke and infections contribute to the development of allergies. 

Allergic skin diseases are the most common skin disorders. Serum sickness, Quincke's oedema, nettle rash, eczema, contact dermatitis is the leading diseases in allergic skin diseases. The factors causing these diseases should be analyzed in depth. For this end, some allergy testing can be conducted. If necessary, the patient may be kept out of his/her environment for a while. Flower dust, various food substances, house dust, some medications and parasites may lead to allergic skin diseases. 

"Prick test" and "patch test" methods are applied and evaluated in our clinic as well as required laboratory tests following dermatological examination in allergic skin diseases. Results are compared with vital conditions of the patient and solutions that are within protection treatment are generated.
