Patient Care Process

Processes to be followed while applying to emergency service of Kent Hospital will facilitate the procedures.  

Initial Entry 

When you come to the emergency service, firstly our secretary in the registration counter at the entrance and our emergency room porter will welcome you.


While our porter takes you to the examination or trauma treatment area properly, the patient’s relatives will be requested to help our secretary at the registration counter for the record procedures. 
The Patient’s Relatives and Visitors

We are aware of worry of your relatives during your treatment at the emergency service. In addition to preventing chaos and crowd at the emergency service, we request only one relative being with you to ensure your privacy.  If you permit, detailed information about your medical condition will be provided to your other relatives by our doctor and nurses periodically.

Your Medical Treatment

After being taken to the treatment area, first of all, your medical data, vital functions will be recorded and your priority examination will be performed by the seriousness of your medical condition. In some cases (extreme intensity, other patients with life-threatening conditions etc.) you may be kept waiting at the emergency service for a while under the surveillance of a nurse. While you are evaluated by the Emergency Medicine Specialist, your necessary diagnostic tests (laboratory, radiology) and treatment will be performed simultaneously. If it is necessary for you to be treated at the hospital, your admission procedures will be initiated after informing you and your relatives. Most of the time, you will be discharged from the emergency service directly after your polyclinic appointment is made accompanied with medical treatment and follow-up suggestions.
Our Pediatric Patients

If there is an injury due to trauma, emergency medicine specialist will carry out the medical procedures and if the complaints are not related to trauma, medical procedures will be carried out by the pediatrics specialist physicians 

Your Personal Belongings 

Your personal belongings in the treatment area will be delivered to your relatives or to the hospital security with minutes in line with your request. If your clothes are needed to be changed, your belongings will be kept similarly

Our waiting areas in emergency room entrance and hospital lobby, telephone and cafeterias in hospital lobby are available.
Patient Check In-Check Out Procedures

 If your hospitalization is required, your relatives will be directed to the patient admission department within working hours. Our employees in the emergency service registration counter will handle your admission procedures out of working hours or if you don’t have a relative.
