Pediatric Cardiac Diseases Symptoms

Cardiac diseases in children may show varying findings by the type of the disease. Symptoms generally occur in the infancy period for congenital cardiac diseases. The most frequent symptoms are frequent and hard breathing of infant, tiring during breast feeding, not gaining weight, bruising around the mouth, tongue and tips of nails. Murmur found during the ordinary examinations in some babies without these symptoms heard by the physician while listening to the heart is a significant symptom.

Murmur is hearing a different sound like blowing in heart beats. Severe murmur can be accepted as the symptom of cardiac disease however, it does not always depend on cardiac disease. Murmur can be heard in sound heart and tests such as echocardiography can be applied for the diagnosis of cardiac disease.
